Review of Teen Zero1 Art & Technology Textile Workshop
Students will evaluate textile design created by teens in a textile workshop at The San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles. http://digitaltextile.weebly.com/extension-project.html
Students will use art terminology: Rhythm, Value, Hue, Pattern, symbolism, contrast, composition.
Questions:
What patterns do you like?
Why?
Which images are you curious about?
What elements do you see making up the various patterns?
What is the geometric shape of the repeat pattern unit? Can you show me an acute angle in the pattern tile units? An obtuse angle?

Samples of digital designs created in a teen workshop at the San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles using entirely freeware web tools. Oct. 30th, 2010. Cureton Elementary students will create their own personal digital textiles and transfer them to fabric in this same process. They then will create banners reflecting on their broader community.
